Enterprise Analysis

Harmonizing Agility and Discipline

The Enterprise Analysis describes the business analysis activities necessary to identify a business need, problem, or opportunity, define the nature of a solution that meets that need, and justify the investment necessary to deliver that solution.

The definition of the business need is frequently the most critical step in any business
analysis effort. We help in the definition of the business need, wich defines the problem that we are trying to find a solution for. The way the business need is defined determines which alternative solutions will be considered, which stakeholders will be consulted, and which solution approaches will be evaluated.

An issue encountered in the organization, such as a customer complaint, a loss of revenue, or a new market opportunity, usually triggers the evaluation of a business need.

We help defines goals and objectives that will demonstrate that the business need has been satisfied and defines what parts of the enterprise need to change in order to meet those goals and objectives.

All purposeful change must include a definition of success. We work to ensure that the future state of the enterprise is well defined, that it is achievable with the resources available, and that key stakeholders have a shared consensus vision of the outcome.

Help customers, to identify new capabilities required by the enterprise to meet the business need. Assess the current capabilities of the enterprise and identify the gaps that prevent it from meeting business needs and achieving desired outcomes. Determine if it is possible for the organization to meet the business need using its existing structure, people, processes, and technology. If the organization can meet the business need with existing capabilities, the resulting change is likely to be relatively small. However, if existing capabilities are inadequate, it will probably be necessary to launch a project to create that capability.

to develop and assess alternative approaches to the change, and then select the recommended approach. The change strategy clearly describes the nature of the change in terms of:

  • context of the change,
  • identified alternative change strategies,
  • Justifications approachs,
  • investment and resources required
  • how the enterprise will realize value after the solution is delivered,
  • key stakeholders
  • transition states
