I recently had the privilege of being selected for the McKinsey Forward Program. I just wanted to check my practices, but, I was completely transformed. The McKinsey Forward Program was revolutionary. It was a wonderful opportunity to meet professionals from Morocco, Rwanda, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania and Kenya in a cohort in which I was the team secretary.
Sometimes you have to question your practices.
The McKinsey Foward Program is a free, yet selective, five-month online learning program offered by McKinsey to equip young talent with the practical skills they need to succeed in the future of work.
Basically, we never neglect the programs of our business models. At WAT&CO , we have 3 consulting firm models: McKinsey&Co , Bain&Co and finally Boston Consulting Group.
When McKinsey launched its Foward Program, they wanted candidates with less than 05 years of experience. Having more than 10 years of experience in General including 04 years in leadership, I rather highlighted my experience in leadership. I applied, and I was selected.
The heart of the McKinsey Foward Program lies in its meticulously crafted curriculum. It is a holistic blend of essential leadership, business and digital skills that transcend industries and roles.
Whether cultivating an adaptable mindset, developing learning habits, or mastering creative problem-solving techniques, each lesson is a treasure trove of insights. What really sets this program apart is its focus on equipping us with the skills to not only navigate change, but lead change.
What I liked most: The clear definition of our intentions to change mentalities.
Amidst the sparkling stones that were the components of the program, one jewel shone brighter than the others: the art of defining clear learning intentions. It wasn’t just about accumulating knowledge, but it was about committing to change and then charting a path to growth.
This part of the program completely changed my professional life. I became like a new man. I have been transformed by changing the way I approach new concepts, challenges and opportunities. With each new skill I learn, I ask myself, “How will this help the companies I work for grow?” »
Being transformed is like unlocking a treasure trove of possibilities. It is the art of being reborn anew in this professional world, to be able to see challenges as opportunities and failures as springboards.
This transformative change opens doors to innovation, resilience and personal growth. Embracing new perspectives cultivates adaptability, allowing us to confidently navigate life’s ever-changing landscape.
An immersive experience that challenges you to think, collaborate and innovate
The McKinsey Foward Program is not just a training program; it’s an immersive experience that challenges you to think, collaborate and innovate: you learn how to learn.
